Dear Future Teacher,

The first thing that I need to tell you is that when I'm hungry please give me some McDonald's.The Second thing is that if I'm not looking at you on the mat and you are talking I am still listening and I know what you are saying.The third thing is that I love reading and I hope that we get to do more reading. The next thing is that I love listening to music so please let us listen to music while we are learning.The fifth thing is that I don't like doing recount so please don't make us do recounts and only narratives please.A thing about me is that whenever I see a camera or a video camera that is recording I always have to make a funny face.My brain works the best in the class because I think that I am the most creative in the class.

The Chase Review

Do you love Action Comedy and Romance? Well then The Chase is the movie for you.

This movie was made by room 11 and it was made for the 2014 Manaiakalani Film Festival.

The main idea of the movie is that two kids are trying to have a romantic picnic but then a man comes up to them and spays them with a water gun and the two kids chase the man and when they chase him the man bumps in to more kids and they chase him too.

The thing that I love about this movie is that its so funny and I love how it is funny and thats why I rate this movie 5 stars

My Rube Goldberg

My Rube Goldberg machine uses 4 out of 6 simple machine.First a ball (wheel) rolls down a ramp then goes in a tube (ramp) and goes in a toy truck (wheel) and the toy truck knocks over dominos (lever) and the toy truck rolls over and the ball comes out of the toy truck, the ball rolls down a ramp and goes down the screw (slide) and lands in the bucket.

Omaru Ceek

Omaru creek has an awful stench. The overwhelming pollution is destroying our environment. The discarded rubbish is everywhere at omaru creek. Omaru creek is like a filthy soup.

We can use teamwork to restore nature to its best. If we respect our environment we can make a difference.

Omaru creek is now clean enough to swim in.In the pristine sparking water there is an abundance of animals.

Summer Learning Journey 2016

In the holiday I want to go to Mexico because the have beautiful buildings. There are tall mountains. Their performances are amazing. The clothes in their performances are so pretty.

Recorders

This morning my class was playing the recorder it was fun. We sat in a circle on the mat. Miss Davis showed us how to play the recorder. As we sat in a circle we were not loud.

When we got our recorder everyone held it the right way.We had to put our left hand on the top and our right on the bottom. When we are not playing our  recorder we hold it under our arm.

The first note we played was a D. To do a D you put your middle finger on the second hole and put your thumb under the back hole,and we played the note C to do a C you do the same as a D but you put your thumb on the back hole.

We had to go in groups my group was Kiarah,Atawhai and Julianna.It was noisy inside so we asked if we could go outside. It sounded like a bird,early in the morning it was very loud.When the noise stopped I felt like an elephant  when it just woke up. I was happy when I was playing the recorder.It was fun.

Musical Madness

As the children in room 14 marched into the hall my feelings changed from, boring to happy. At the assembly

Mr Jacobsen and Mr Somerville were wearing the same singlet. When we sat down I sat up.At the start of the assembly the assistant principal’s, Mr Burt and Mr Wiseman were singing the  Musical madness song.

Team four was the second to last item it was about when you sing in the car with different feelings. It was so  funny that I felt like Joker when he laughs. It one of my favorites. My favourite part was the part when Mr Jacobsen was in his van,singing to Drop It Like It’s Hot.

Team three to me came a tie with Team four because they  were so funny that all the kids in my class laughed, so did I. My favourite part was when Miss King sang “When I was 70” and showed a photo on her phone with a lady on it, and the part when Miss Davis was swinging from Chandelier.

My Recount.

Today me and my school went to Riverside road to watch the 12 year 7s and 8s catch the flounder. Mr Burt said "Kauri flats school caught 4 flounder and we need to beat that."   We are not going to eat the flounder, we are going to let them grow.

We sang some songs in maori, we sang about 5 songs. We hope that the flounder will grow bigger. I came back with my friend because we did not see our teacher. I felt happy because it was fun.

I’m so happy that I am replying to you. My favourite colours  is blue and green.How did you feel when you fell over  when you were ice skating?  I went to stardome and it was very fun. How To Make A Clock

The Stardome

Yesterday, all the Year 3s and Year 4s got on a bus to go to the Stardome.The trip to Stardome was fun because my bus was the first one to Stardome. We were singing in the bus and it was fun. At the time my bus was at Stardome everyone was still coming.When everyone came we went over some rules and ate and played in the park.



At the Stardome, we learned some really cool things about our solar system. We learnt that when the earth is facing away from the sun it’s night and if we had a model of the solar system earth would be smaller   than a hand ball.  After we learnt about that we had a quiz on an ipad and it was fun.



When we weren’t in the Stardome, we were having fun outside. On the park I was on the octopus then the swing. I was happy that we got to play on the park and the flying fox. When we went inside I wanted to stay outside and play because I loved playing on the flying fox.

After all this, we headed back to Point England School.

When we were going back I nearly fell asleep. I was  happy that we went to Stardome. I enjoyed the trip back to Pt England.
